Baldwin Pianos Retail Showrooms

From 1997 through 2006, I directed the marketing and public relations for Baldwin Pianos retail showrooms in seven states. I created weekly print, digital, broadcast, direct mail and point-of-sale collateral. 

 

I worked with the sales teams to provide MQLs, ensure lead handoff and closed-loop reporting, providing sales support to individual showrooms as needed. 

 

Because of my efforts, regular sales targets were consistently achieved, and Baldwin was the sales leader in each of the seven markets. 

 

Additionally, I worked with various artistic groups to promote the use of Baldwin instruments, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Joffrey Ballet.

Micato Safaris

Micato Safaris is consistently voted the world's finest safari outfitter and tour operator. 

 

In 2006, I joined Micato as the Director of Marketing and created the company's first direct-to-consumer marketing, delivering a 300% increase in traffic to the website. 

 

I oversaw B2B marketing, working with several travel consortia, including Virtuoso, American Express, AAA and the Signature Travel Network. 

 

Channels leveraged included digital marketing, direct mail, catalog and brochure, and extensive consumer, trade and press/media events. 

 

Taj Hotels, Fairmont Resorts, South Africa Tourism and Neiman-Marcus are just a few of the companies with which I worked on to forge mutually lucrative partnerships.

Shown here: Several mailings were sent to travelers to help build excitement prior to departure. 

 

One included a branded safari bag, travel guides and customized documentation. 

 

The first mailing sent was a DVD of Out of Africa and Micato branded popcorn to help travelers start anticipating their adventure. 

Micato started marketing luxury excursions to India in 2009. 

 

As part of a partnership with Taj Hotels, Micato put together a special itinerary entitled "The Magic of India."

Lowy Frame & Fine Art Restoration

Lowy Frame & Fine Art Restoration counts Sotheby's, Christie's and the Metropolitan Museum of Art among its clients. Lowy also works with private art collectors, architects and interior designers around the world. 

 

I redesigned the website, created packaging, truck wraps and print and digital ads that ensured synergy and consistent messaging across channels. 

 

"Frame The Future" was a philanthropic initiative I created to help further differentiate the company. A percentage of each purchase was donated to help underserved NYC children learn about the visual arts. At one successful event, we auctioned off watercolor paintings made by the children, with proceeds going to the philanthropy.

Lexus of Highland Park

For several years, I served as an agency copywriter and creative director, working with several luxury retail clients. Two of the ads I conceived, wrote and produced are shown at right.
